There are two urban beaches located just steps away from downtown Alicante, perfect for fitting in some time at the beach between sightseeing. The most popular of the two is the surprisingly clean Playa Postiguet, but don't rule out the more southern Playa Urbanova. Alicante's most famous beach, the seven-kilometer Playa de San Juan, is just a quick trolley ride away.
